The Cook County Human Trafficking Task Force is a group of social service, legal service, and law enforcement partners who come together to address the issue of human trafficking collaboratively. The Healthcare Subcommittee aims to better identify and serve survivors of human trafficking in all healthcare settings through training, protocol development, advocacy, technical assistance, the sharing of best practices and referral mechanisms to service providers of the task force. The purpose of this training is to increase your knowledge of the issue of human trafficking so you are equipped to effectively and safely respond.

Objectives:
At the conclusion, learners will be able to:
- Define human trafficking and list elements of a trafficking situation
- Dispel commonly held beliefs and stereotypes that promote sex and labor trafficking
- Describe individual and societal factors that make someone vulnerable to being trafficked
- Recognize red flags that indicate someone might be in a labor or sex trafficking situation
- Explain how to aid survivors and gain knowledge about anti-trafficking resources
