ACCREDITATION INFORMATION
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by The Robert Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and Vermont Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition. The University of Vermont is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The University of Vermont designates this enduring material for a maximum of 10.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Objectives: Describe interventions they can use in their day-to-day practices, such as motivational interviewing, nutrition pearls, principles of acceptance and commitment therapy.
List ways to enhance patient engagement in chronic pain management, through cognitive behavioral therapy, nutrition, lifestyle, and patient education.
Discuss how to explain pain and the brain’s role in pain with patients.
Discuss how to integrate the primary determinants of health
