Hardware/Software Requirements:
High speed connection to the Internet. Browser: the most current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari or Mozilla Firefox. The ability to access and view Adobe pdf documents, Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash Player are recommended. To download/update Adobe Reader and Flash Player, go to http://www.adobe.com/ and follow download the instructions. Printer access recommended to print completion certificate.

Format:
The teaching method for this program will consist of a PowerPoint presentation with corresponding online quiz. Participants will use what they have learned from the presentation, to complete a follow-up evaluation and quiz to assess new knowledge acquisition. Participants receive an 88% or higher on the post test to pass this course. The program should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Requirements for Completion: review the entire PowerPoint presentation, receive a passing post test score of 88% or higher and submit a completed evaluation form.

Objectives: Registered nurses will have sufficient knowledge of suprapubic catheters. Will also provide reinforcement of knowledge of the different type of male catheters and insertion on both male and female patients.

By the end of the class the nurse will be able to demonstrate the ability to change out a suprapubic catheters at bedside.
